RECIPE POST: The Best Healthy Shrimp Tacos w/ Tomatillo Guac

You don't have to wait until Tuesday for tacos. Also the usual standards of shredded chicken and carnitas are no longer the sole option fillers for your tortillas!

Options now such as mushrooms, seafood, or simply grilled veggies are preferred mainstays for the easy and quick handheld meals. Add a few fresh toppings and it's almost complete!

Any good taco is easily made excellent with a great sauce.

For this recipe my mainstay choice of perfectly roasted Abstract Lemon Salt & Pepper shrimp and a super quick and easy guacamole create a taco of perfection!

But don't take my word for it, try the recipe below!


  • 1 lb large shrimp, (peeled, deveined, and cleaned)

  • 1/2 red, 1/2 yellow pepper, sliced in strips

  • 1/2 onion, sliced

  • 1 tbsp Abstract Spice Lemon Salt & Pepper

  • 1/2 tsp Abstract Rose Sea Salt

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • grapeseed oil

  • your favorite tortillas, warmed


  • 2 avocados, cubed

  • 2 tbsp tomatillo sauce

  • Abstract Rose Sea Salt

  • Lime

  1. On medium-high heat, add about 1 tbsp grapeseed oil.

  2. Add in peppers and onions, sauteing until onions are translucent, and season with Rose Sea Salt

  3. Add in shrimp and remaining seasonings sauteing until shrimp just turn pink and begin to curl. (Note: if pan becomes dried out, add a little water continue the saute) Remove from heat and set aside.

  4. In a bowl add diced avocado, tomatillo sauce, Abstract Rose Sea Salt, and lime, stirring until well incorporated.

  5. Top a warm tortilla with shrimp sautee adding the tomatillo guac to finish.

  6. Enjoy!

Other toppings for thought: sliced avocado, homemade cabbage slaw, shredded spinach, fresh chopped mango, pineapple, and onions.
