This is THE perfect mug of goodness to curl up with on the couch to watch your favorite holiday movie, gaze at the decorations, or to simply relax, sip and enjoy the present. With tasty help from Celestial Seasonings, Silk, Nescafe, and Kroger, I was able to make the AC Art of Food version not only non-dairy, but super simple, cleaner...and it's DELICIOUS! I even kicked it up a notch and added a salted caramel liquor which is AMAAAAAAAAZING! Baileys also works exceptionally well.
...when you're a health-foodie....and figure out how to do it better, with LE$$, lol!
But don't take my word for it, try it yourself and tell me about it in the comments below!
**ACAOF Kickin' Peppermint Mocha**
When I was a child, I loved a certain chain of Italian restaurants that just so happened to be named after one of my favorite items on a really good slice of pizza- or on a tasty cheese plate. However, as my palate matured, the only item this particular restaurant offered that tickled my fancy was a really good salad and a deliciously phenomenal soup! You know that soup, the one with the potatoes, green stuff, and sausage, lol! Since I really never had a desire to go back to this spot as an adult, I figured I'd try to recreate this soup in my kitchen. But since my eating lifestyle changed too, I knew I would have to remix the recipe a bit.
Aaaaaaaaaaaand....I saw, l did, and I CONQUERED!! When I tell you this bad boy tastes like the real thing!! I had a few of my co-workers to sample (staunch meat eaters) and they COULD NOT tell the difference. I literally had to pry their hands away from the bowl with promises to bring more the next day!
Check out my recipe below and don't forget to let me know in the comments below if you tried it and what 'remixes' you'll add to yours!
Vegan Kale & Sausage Potato Soup
(Slow cooker recipe!)
Make it a Great Tasting Day!
This refreshingly crisp AND antioxidant-filled cocktail gets its name from the broken blueberries that are added, instantly releasing the full berry flavor and nutritional benefits. It's a wonderful alternative to the traditional mimosa often found on many a brunch table :-). What's more, it's super simple with ONLY 3 ingredients:
Now you can celebrate with a delicious spirit and feel GREAT about it, literally!
Make it a Great Tasting Day!
Yeah, so here in Atlanta we are coming out of one of our biggest snowstorms. Yep, you heard it right, 'Atlanta' and 'snowstorm', both in the same sentence! Now with this comes the weatherman and city leader's advisement to stay indoors. Ahhhh yes, all five of us, in this house, all day, all night, for two whole cabin-fevered days. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, God knows I do! But surely goodness and mercy, I need a break! So what calms my nerves like nothing else will? Cooking!! But with the roads not clear, I'd have to wait until around lunchtime on day 2 to make it out and to the store safely to and fro. Taking a mental note of what staples we have left in our kitchen, I notice out of the corner of my eye, my son Aidon, mock-hosting his own cooking show at the table with a boiled egg, turkey bacon, cheese, and two slices of bread. I mean, he is really getting into it! Right then I decide that instead of scolding him for making an utter mess in my kitchen, I would indulge him instead, and encourage his culinary creativity and film it creating this vlog post!
You've seen the finished product above, check out the videos below which are the 'rough-cut' with all the commentary. Enjoy, and remember that kids are watching everything we do, so be careful to motivate and encourage their creativity!
Make it a Great Tasting Day!
...from Sunday night's dinner! With just a few and added fresh veggies I created a meal perfect for lunch.😋
Make your own Culinary Health Bowl with this simple and easy guide:
1. Line a layer at the base of the container with your desired leftover fiber-rich/complex carb (quinoa, couscous, pasta, rice, potato, etc.)
2. Section 1/3 of the bowl with a leafy green (spinach, kale, cabbage, etc.)
3. Section another 1/3 with a healthy protein fat (avocado, hummus, sliced egg, nut cheese, etc.)
4. Section the last 1/3 with a hydration veggie (cucumber, tomato, mushrooms, etc.)
5. Squeeze the whole bowl with 1 lime or 1/2 lemon, sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt, and finish with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil
6. Garnish with olives, pine nuts, or pesto aaaaand... ...Lunch is served!!!

Abstract Spice is AC Art of Food's beloved universal savory seasoning that makes everything DELICIOUS! It's an amazing all-natural savory blend of beneficial herbs and spices with a mineral rich Himalayan sea salt base. This gourmet seasoning is phenomenal on vegetables, meats, seafood, bbq, and even popcorn!
I decided to upgrade the packaging due to recent malfunctions of the previous where the sides were tearing (that sucks!). Now, not only is this pouch sturdier, it also locks in freshness, is leak-proof, and secures the smell to the beautifully sunset colored contents where it belongs, inside!
I'm super excited! And it seems like I'm not the only one- read below!
